Drive Medical Acquires Specialised Orthotic Services Ltd; Expands Presence in Specialized Seating Market
Drive Medical Limited, a leading manufacturer and distributor of durable medical equipment in Europe, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Specialised Orthotic Services Ltd (SOS), an innovative manufacturer and distributor of specialised seating and mobility products, effective January 23, 2015. Drive Medical Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Drive Medical.
Established in 1980 by its founder and current Managing Director, Gordon McQuilton MBE, SOS provides innovative specialised seating systems and other rehabilitation products to aid mobility and daily living. Recognized as experts in the complex area of postural management, SOS has established itself as the leader in its field. Drive Medical Limited also acquired the manufacturing and distribution facility of SOS located in Staffordshire, England.
