200 cable locks for kids

This year we also wanted to support a good cause with a donation in kind. We believe that cycling training for the weakest road users is extremely useful. Because through our customers we know how many children are seriously injured in road traffic and are then dependent on our aids. To prevent serious accidents here, it is important that children are made familiar with the traffic rules at a very early age.

The Verkehrswacht Württembergisches Allgäu e. V. is responsible for the youth traffic school based in Kisslegg. Every year, more than 1,400 students are guided through school cycling training with a subsequent test. This makes it the largest youth traffic school in the Ravensburg district. We presented the wearer with 200 cable locks worth over 2,800 euros.
Joachim Arnold, CEO oft he Verkehrswacht Württembergisches Allgäu, was delighted: "We are very grateful for thr generous donation in kind from Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare. Bike locks are always a welcome and useful gift. You can never have enough of them."

In order to get to know the donor company better, he insisted on picking up the 200 locks from us in Isny himself. Arnold explains how the donation in kind will be used: "The locks will go to those students who do best in the practical and theoretical cycling test in the coming year. In the hope that they will also use them so that they are not among the more than 250,000 victims who, according to statistics, have their bicycles stolen every year."

More donations for children

The Verkehrswacht Allgäu is not the only non-profit organization that can look forward to a donation from Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare. The coming months will not be easy for many. That's why we decided to support four other aid projects that take care of the well-being of children with a monetary donation before Christmas.
